The Young Professionals of Lawton attended the official Lighting Ceremony for the Women That Vote! Arts Corporation on Friday, August 21st at Shepler Park in Lawton. The purpose of the event was to not only celebrate the official lighting for the new Women’s Suffrage statue representing diversity but also the 100th anniversary of the Women’s Suffrage movement. In honor of celebrating voting rights for all, the YPL board and members displayed a voter registration booth to assist new voters with helpful information to complete registration.
